As part of the RIVA2018 project, LWCircus with Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea inaugurate a two-week public program between seminars and open lectures to give space to international speakers who will illustrate innovative and sustainable contributes in the field of urban planning and urban landscape design. In this way opens the RIVA 2018 program, the artistic and interdisciplinary platform, structured as a research site on the river. A large cycle of conferences organized by LWCircus and Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea, which deals with sustainable design in contemporary cities starting from examples and solutions on the rivers of large international urban areas from the design of the Garonne basin in France to the evolutionary models of Shanghai. The conference program is part of the ArnoLab018 workshop, an open-air creative shared workshop, aimed to realized ephemeral installations, between art and landscape on site, to support the social inclusion by the medium of art in the landscape. The temporary international, multi cultural and multidisciplinary creative community participant to ArnoLab018, will test in the field, shared practices by using multimedia languages, artistic approaches and performative spontaneous attitudes in the specific urban context, to create Ephemeral Installations, as light urban furniture, staging points, temporary shelters, realized on site. The Installations will come up as a revisitation and assembling of recycled natural material, transported by the changing River’s moods, provided by the public institution responsible for the Arno river’s management and safeguard, the Consorzio di Bonifica, together with wood and plants, provided by the Carabinieri Forestali, Reparto Biodiversità di Vallombrosa.
